Day 8

Another one bites the dust! Very wet day, had to walk the steep downhills today as my upper thigh does not like them but fine on the level. Crept in under 6 hours at 5.58.40ish. Shells is suffering with archilles problems so was slower but I still cannot catch her, she is fantastic. Anastasia keeps getting round, Paul has gone to see her in for the last 2 days as it is lonely at the back.

The physio's keep patching people up, yesterday reminded me of a comment last year, "it's like the evacuation of a cottage hospital", but the body is tough and those that were having problems earlier are making great progress now.

Adam continues to fly round, he enjoyed Percy pigs, Paul was handing out. (Abby brought them for me she had better bring some more for everyone as they are popular).

Stuart's parents Pat & Norman came over for suprise support, it was lovely to see them especially in such horrendous weather. Martin & Maureen are here on holiday so popped along to the start and at Bowness after their run round Tarn Howes. Gareth who did 2 events came over to support us, sad for him but much appreciated by us all. We are getting lots more support on route from passing cars pipping. Although there are some poor drivers, one enjoyed going through a big puddle and drowning me today, it was a shock.

Paul drove Teresa round today making it alot easier for dropping all drinks at the refreshment points.

Jos Naylor saw me at the end he is pleased to see I am doing so much better than last year.

If Linda & Chris are reading this enjoy your holiday....
Clothes washed, drinks prepared so can have an early night, I need it.
